Spicy Beets

INGREDIENTS:

  • 0.5 kg of carrots
  • 3 dkg  butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, pepper
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 1 lemon grated peel

 

PREPARATION:

1.) Peel the beets and cut them lengthwise.

2.) Add salt, pepper and mix it.

3.) Preheat the oven to 180 ºC. Butter a medium-sized baking dish, then add the previously prepared beets, sprinkle with olive oil and cover with aluminium foil and bake for approx. 30-40 minutes.

4.) Remove the aluminium foil, gently turn the beets over and then bake for approx.20-30 more minutes until the carrots are slightly browned.

5.) Meanwhile, chop the parsley and garlic and whisk together (you can also add grated lemon zest).

6.) When the carrots are ready, roll in the garlic parsley and serve lukewarm.
